705D weather radar is a kind of automatic wind-measuring radar loaded on chariot and equipped for air force. In this paper, the control of the weather radar simulation system is designed and implemented based on a new generation DSP TMS320LF2407A. The subsystem is featured by stable running, high density and low cost. There are six chapters in this dissertation. In the first three chapters, principally introduced are the background and current progress of the research on the weather radar system. Subsequently we briefly analyzes the practical weather radar system and proves the feasibility and necessity of designing a new control subsystem through comparing the new design with the old one. In chapter four, the design and implementation of the control subsystem are emphatically expounded. First, we introduce the structure traits, types and chip selection of DSP, the features of TMS320LF2407A, the software used for DSP(digital signal processor) development and the procedure of developing DSP-based system. Then precisely describe the hardware characteristics of CPLD(complex programmable logic device) and present the developing methods. After that, all units of the control subsystem including SCI port, switching group, indicator lights, operation lever, TKM, microampere meter control unit and waveform generation module are detailedly elaborated in designing principles, designing methods and implementing aspects. Meanwhile, the hardware controlling programs are presented. In chapter five, the designing methods of power supply circuit, reset circuit and clock circuit are discussed. The stratagems of wire routing on PCB are summarized. In chapter six, we sum up the five chapters above and come up with the further improvement suggestion. The control subsystem functions well after software and hardware debugging.
