In the field of domestic automobile detection, it is an urgent need of informational development of automobile detection to realize sharing detection data between stations and the industrial management departments by standardization processing of data generated by software of different detection stations. Therefore the establishment of Information Management Network of automobile detection station service has become the top priority.Based on the analysis of development state and trend of vehicle detection technology at home and abroad, this paper designed service information systems of vehicle inspection station over Gansu Province by using Rational Rose, Power Designer, Java, Dreamweaver MX and other modern computer network hardware and software technologies,This system was composed of a network subsystem and a service information subsystem. On the aspect of network subsystem, local area network structure was used. Local area network of each detection station was interconnected by Telecom Line to ensure the dynamic and real-time transmission for data. Network hardware design included the design of network structure design, storage systems design, data backup design ,service availability design, data exchange design, application server design and middleware design. On the aspect of information service subsystem, according to functional requirements and performance requirements of the subsystem, the service software was designed, including process design, database design, data entry design and software interface design. Service information system has the following functions: vehicle detection data inquiry, detection station equipment inquiry, detection station staff information inquiry, detection station information inquiry, detection results statistics, system management and upload data access function. Finally, this paper emphasized the importance of system security and maintenance.This system design had been worked out and implemented completely. On-site running results in the detection station and the transportation management authority of Gansu Province showed this system was good in performance.
