Along with the fast improvement of China's high speed railway passenger transport, the demand of MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus) products which conform to the standard of TCN (Train Communication Network) is increasing. As an important role in the whole TCN system, MVB card has a very promising future. Based on the analysis of MVB bus, this thesis proposes a design scheme of MVB card with PCI interface and also gives the hardware implementation and bottom-level driver software.Firstly, this thesis introduces the TCN system, focusing on the relative parts of MVB. Secondly, The EDA (Electronics Design Automation) tool of hardware development is introduced. Through the analysis of the software and hardware development platform, the whole design and implementation of the card based on ARM processor AT91FR40162, Xilinx Spartan-II FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) XC2S200 and PCI9052 interface chip are then given. Thirdly, the hardware implementation of the card is described in detail, including MVB bus interface, ARM peripheral circuit, and the PCI interface. Through the study of PCI specification, this thesis provides two methods of accessing the card under DOS, and also gives the implement of the card driver on base of Giveio and WDM (Windows Driver Model) in Windows. Fourthly, the reliability of the MVB hardware interface is proved by carrying out the electromagnetic compatibility test in the lab, and the application of the card is also introduced. Finally the conclusion and the future work are discussed at the end of this thesis.
