With the rapid development of Internet technology and advancement of network, more and more applications migrate to the Internet. Web applications based on B/S (Browser/Server) architecture become more and more widely used as a result of the development, deployment and maintenance facilities. However the interactive capacity and performance of Web applications are far behind desktop applications, so we hope Web applications can provide the same or better experience provided by the desktop applications.RIA (Rich Internet Application) technology is the perfect solution which aims to enhance the user experience. With the RIA concept, we can have Web applications and desktop applications' advantages. RIA technology combines the rich interactive ability of desktop applications with the widely used Web technology to provide us with rich user experience.This paper first briefly introduces the basic concept of RIA, also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of RIA's main technology-Ajax, Flex, Silverlight and JavaFX on the basis of research on Adobe Flex's technical details; then probes the RIA development framework based on Flex, discusses the combination feasibility of Flex with JavaEE, after that proposes the integration solution of Flex with JavaEE; and then takes Teaching Support System as an example, describes the design and implementation details of Teaching Support System based on Flex, demonstrates the feasibility of the solution; finally discusses the advantages of the solution and how to improve the solution.This paper has done much successful exploration and practice about the integration of Flex with JavaEE, summed up a set of effective solutions, provided a viable idea for organizations and individuals who wish to develop new Web applications using Flex or transform the existing application to Flex.
