Design And Realization Of A Microwave Switch Matrix Based On VxWorks

With the development of wireless communication technology, the fast test and measurement for Electronic equipment is desired。It must rely on the automatic test system. However ,the purposes and methods of these microwave automatic test systems are different from each other , so the microwave switching matrix is introduced into the automatic test system to improve the test efficiency. The matrix is designed to exchange messages between automatic test system and the circuit units under test system , and also to provide necessary load for these units .In this paper ,a new type of microwave switch matrix is introduced based on ARM9 processor and VxWorks operating system.In this solution ,the general purpose I/O of ARM9 processor constitutes the bottom interface .It is used to configure the channel parameters and monitor the switch status real-time. The matrix is controlled through network interface by PC. It is easy to remotely configure and monitor the switch matrix .The matrix also provides front button panel.the user can quickly and easily achieve express configuration at the scene with it .In this paper, the organization and development of automated test system are described firstly. For the shortcomings of traditional switch matrix system, a new type of microwave switch matrix is introduced. Then, the hardware circuit and interface are designed. In the follow, the migration of VxWorks Operating system and the development of drivers and application software are described. Finally, the all work is summed up and the follow-up development plans and programs are show.This equipment has been applied into the actual running. The practical application shows that this matrix is easy to operate, agile to configure. It greatly improves the efficiency of automatic test, and should be applied broadly.
