Development Of Radar Automatic Test System Software Based On VxWork

With the development of science and technology, weapon system has a high demand of attacking targart in accuracy and distance. As the device of accurate positioning target, radar’s function and structure is very complicated, which bring troubles for testing of radar performance. Radar automacic test system provides a reliable and efficient way to test radar. As the core part of the automatic test system, test software’s real-time performance plays a curcial role for the test system. Due to Windows system real-time performace, it has been unable to meet the high realtime and reliability requirements. This paper researches and develops a radar autotest test system based on Vx Works, which improves test system ’s real-time and reliability. Besides, the radar automatic test system provides a reliable means radar development process and performance maintenance.Firstly, this paper puts forward the demand of radar test from the hardware and software. And then, we have designed of the overall hardware structure for atutomatic test system. Based on the structure, we have made the selection of key hardware devices and finshed automatic test system integration. Paper focuses on building Vx Works programing environment and the device driv er, function module, task scheduling mechanism.Automatic test system uses Vx Works need to face the following problems: Vx Works migration, not supporting Chinese show, software graphical interface, the control of hardware peripheral and so on. This paper adopts GRUB boot technology to solve the Vx Works migration and installation; to the problem of software graphical interface, paper uses third-party software Tilcon to design the interface, which can simplify the design interface work. Besides, by the Vx Work s media library Wind ML supporting double-byte coding display, paper uses Chinese dot matrix font registration and Chinese transcoding technology to solve Vx Works not supporting Chinese show. Because Vx Works instrument control software can not be achieced by VISA. Base on the defferent hardware interface, this paper developes the basic function driver for each interface to instead of VISA. The test system corel hardware mainly includes two kinds of interface: CPCI bus, USB interface. In addition, the test software has the requirement of 10 ms accurate timing. This paper uses auxiliary clock timing mechanism to achieve 10 ms accurate timing which is provided by Vx Works. Automatic test system software use hierarchical, modular design method. The software operated convient, easy to maintain, has high real-time and reliability.By the joint debugging, the result shows that the radar test system can complete all techincal requirements for radar testing. Currently, the system was applied to a type of radar test. The test software is easy to operate, runing stably.
