The technology of DSP is being applied to much field,such as communication technology,electronic technology,computer technology,etc, especially in signal processing field.There is important significance to implement experimental equipment for signal and system based on DSP in teaching,professional development and engineering practice.About applying DSP to the practice of experimental equipment,the paper disserts the five parts including the experiments of system,the design of the project,the realization of the hardware,the development of the software and the test of the property.Until today,to establish experiments of the course of signal and system is a hard task,for the costliness of equipment and the difficulty of the experiment itself.People always use anolog equipment to establish the circuits.But,the flexibility and real-time characteristic are always undesirable because of the limit of the real component and circuit.While,making use of simulative software for experiments can not meet the demands for real environment. The experimental equipment has hardware devices and software environment of CCS, which can be much greater flexibility,authenticity and practicality,using the advantages of hardware and software.Moreover,it becomes more convenient for secondary-development and expandedness of experiments by modular design idea.In this paper,the characteristics and overview of signal and system are firstly introduced,then the solution to implement experimental equipment for signal and system on DSP is presented using software radio idea.Secondly,the experiments of equipment are designed, including basic experiments,such as signal generator,signal basic computing and convolution,analysis of signal spectrum, comprehensive experiments,such as filters' design and application, signal spectrum movement,and expanded experiments,such as digital modulation,FM modulation and demodulation,generic FIR filter.Thirdly, hardware platform of equipment is designed, according to the system's contents and requirements, the principle and design of each part is given in details.Meanwhile,the system's software is designed based on Matlab and CCS 2.0,the results of simulation verify the theoretical correctness of design.Finally,the function and performance of the system are tested on the hardware platform,and the results are presented and analyzed.Through testing and actual operation,both of the functions and technical specifications meet the design requirements.
