Business system of decision making supporting is a analytical information platform founded on informational management system. ERP software system is popularly applied on the business. Then Business Intelligence is able to optimize the resource and integrate system information in existence. The BI infrastructure includes Data Warehouse, OLAP and Data Mining. The paper will introduce decision supporting system about concepts and methods. According to assess genetics and breeding parameter of Liangshan semi-fine wool, we deploy the Data Warehouse project.The present research has arranged the relevant Liangshan semi-fine wool of the resource reference group information data (pedigree data, performance data, breeding data) from 1997~2007.After cleared data, the data of genetics and breeding by ETL (Extract, Transform, Loading) stored in the relational database management. Finally, we build the DW system according to rules of design and implement Data Warehouse model. The main innovative ideas as following:(1) Set up a Data Warehouse which is the analytical and explored function for genetics & breeding of Liangshan semi-fine wool. The Data Warehouse system enable of assessing parameter and predicting hybrid performance.(2) Established the corresponding subject analytical model of the Data Warehouse which is pedigree map, sheep weight and wool subject.(3) Implement data mart of pedigree map, sheep weight and wool according to logical design, physical design and deployment.(4) Accessing to data mart, we have completed the data which collect and integrate from data cube.(5) Through application of Data Mining, the Data Warehouse system function is tested properly. In the future, after trained the sample data collection, we are going to discover some new traits.
