Small And Medium-sized Hospital Information System Design And Development

Hospital information system (HIS) is fundamental equipment and technical supporting environments in modern hospital. HIS is not only tracing and managing the information produced by human being flow, financial flow and material flow to enhance the system working efficiency, but also supporting all medicine, education and research activity which serviced by medical recording of patients. It's a very important choice to build HIS to make hospital manage modernization and to be suited to the international way.Laiwu City, maternal and child health care hospital was set up in 1953 and named as Laiwu County Maternal and Child Health Station. After fifty years of development, Laiwu City, the only maternal and child health care hospital of the city has developed into a set of medical, prevention, health care, scientific research, teaching, birth, reproductive health care in one of the municipal health care institutions.With the construction of hospital information, the application of HIS gets more and more widespread. Outpatients can get through out-patient treatment flow with the out-patient registration, registration, designated price, toll collection system. Patients required hospital treatment can get through patient flow with the hospital table, nurses workstations, workstation Doctor, hospital pharmacies table.As a system modeling language, UML express the analysis and design process of HIS. It use object-oriented system analysis and design method, namely driven by use case and development process of iterative and increment. Each development cycle of iterative include several phase making up of analysis, design and building. The system model was described by various visual models from many aspects in each phase.Obviously, I used all kinds of visual models of UML to design unified system model. In the basis of system offer-demand analysis, analyzing the question field, drawing out the use case diagram, objecting class diagram and dynamic behavior diagram, deployment diagram and component diagram. In the end, I provided a whole software system solution.In this research, I used the integrated development environment of Delphi as client-side development tool, Power Designer as database modeling tool, SQL Server as DBMS which worked on server. Obviously, I also used unified modeling language as system modeling description tool.In the end, some suggestion and solution in building HIS were gave.
