Research On The Literature Document Of Yiyuan

Yiyuan is one of most well-known novels in China about ghosts and specters in Six Dynasty (222- 589 A.D.) . This dissertation is supposed to study the bibliography of Yiyuan . To write this dissertation, I have looked into different editions of Yiyuan , subsequently analyzed the birth and history of the existing one, as well as some current disputable problems even among famous scholars. More problems are also put forward of this edition of Yiyuan, together with some of my humble corrections and complements. The last part has enclosed Yiyuan's author Liu Jingshu's life experience and discussed several uncertainties.This dissertation is mostly based on the Yiyuan which boasts ten tomes. As far as I am concerned, this edition is the manuscripts of Hu Zhenheng in Ming Dynasty. The scripts were edited, corrected, and completed from the rescued original one, thus ensuing the current ten tomes. It then becomes part of MiCeHuiHan , so we can see it is not the original one.This paper mainly used the method "Examine the citation of ancient books to tell whether it is the original edition ".It employs some Ancient books emerging before the Huzhenheng's edition, such as authorized historical documents, ancient commentaries, and category books of Tang and Song Dynasty, to demonstrate the proof, means, and principles with which Hu Zhenheng has used to edit. It proves the hypothesis that it is Huzhenheng that compiled the edition of YiYuan, and what we are reading now is not the complete ancient one.Nearly one fifth of Huzhenheng's edition are from other books or editions. After analyzing this edition's compilation and proofreading the errors in it , the methods of Hu Zhenheng's plagiarism were listed and the lost items are brought back. The purpose of this article is not only to provide some useful advice for the academic study of the YiYuan that we read now, but also to give an demonstration for how to tell the authentic ancient books from fake ones.
