So, there will be very high economic value to research the green home network to cater to the huge market prospect.On the basis of summing up and learning from the research results achieved by the scholars at home and abroad, with the actual requirements of subject and based on fiber communication technique, starting with system constitute, proposed a green home network system.Paper is starting with access network of green home network system, proposed to use fiber-optic access technology, through the passive optical network of EPON (Ethernet fiber-optic) technology to achieve the family's "triple play", to use optical fiber to the desktop ( FTTD) technology to achieve the green all-optical networks; and then introduced the basic constitute of the system, proposed to use two-way dual-fiber transmission mode between home gateway and terminal equipment such as home electrical appliances, based on S3C2410 embedded core, emphatically designed the home gateway with fiber-optic Ethernet interface cards and fiber interface include host-gateway and sub-gateway; proposed to use a hierarchical topology in this system, and built the communications platform, realized the compatibility between high speed and low speed information is discussed; finally analyzed and compared the performance of green home network system and the traditional family network system from resource consumption, bandwidth requirements, electromagnetic radiation and transmission bit error rate four aspects, explained the superior performance of the system.The green home network system proposed in this subject is no electromagnetic interference, non-radiation, accurate, efficient, environmental, energy-savings, and has certain reference value for the future development of home network.
