The Internet is the driving force behind the optical fiber communications. The next generation optical communication network is with characteristics of integration, low cost and high dependability require advanced optoelectronic devices. Compared with the discrete optoelectronic devices, integrated optoelectronic devices have the advantages of compact size, lower parasitics, lower cost, better performance and higher reliability. Integrated optoelectronic devices have already attracted tremendous attentions around the world. The main research work is listed below:1,Based on the application of spatial demultiplexer in ROADM system,we analyze one-dimensional photonic crystal super-prism effect in theory,in order to draw some important conclusions : the time dispersion(group delay) changes into the spatial dispersion,in order to achieve different wavelength separation.2,A new design method for multilayer thin film spatial demultiplexer based on Superprism phenomenon of periodic photonic crystal is presented.Without complex techniques, the multilayer thin film structure is deposited easily with increasing the thickness of the single layer and decreasing the periodicity. Multiplayer structure is more feasible in practice for fabrication. Finally, we study the integration of the structure and PIN detector , and calculate the quantum efficiency of the device . 3,A wavelength selective monolithically integrated photodetector array has been fabricated and characterized, which can be used for reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers. The device operates at a wavelength around 1500nm for four channels with 10nm interval. A spectral linewidth as narrow as 0.8nm, an external quantum efficiency of about 12 %, and a 3dB bandwidth of 8.2GHz were obtained in the device.
