The World Wide Web has succeeded in large part because its software architecture has been designed to meet the needs of an Internet-scale distributed system. The Web has been iteratively developed over the past ten years through the raise of a series of technology such as network integration, Web Service and the layered architecture. In order to identify those aspects of the Web that needed improvement and avoid undesirable modifications, a model for the modern Web architecture was needed to guide its design, definition, and deployment.REST (Representational State Transfer) style, which is a new architecture style for the development of network software, is a useful attempt at today's Internet distributed hypermedia system architecture. In recent years, the software based on REST style architecture has been used increasingly, especially in the enterprises for content collaboration by virtue of its nature. This paper designes Web-based software architecture with the guide of REST architecture style.Paper first introduces the background and significance of the project, gives a brief review on the current research situation of Web application framework, then summarizes the technology on the network, network software, software architecture, the layed structure, Web Service, REST, Parlay in details.Secondly, paper designs then REST style Web application's overall architecture, the major components, as well as the principles of the given architecture. Finally the project carried out unit testing and functional testing, and pointed out the design and realization of work required for further study.
