Design And Implementation Of Insurance Industry Data Warehouse System

Along with the wide use of database, a large amount of data of different industries has appeared. How to manage and recombine these data source, and extract valuable information to make decision, has become a impending problem to solve. At this time, the birth and development of data warehouse has provide efficient theory and method to solve the problem.First, this paper analyzed the status of development of data warehouse and background of the Insurance Industry. The definition of data warehouse is specifically introduced, and the key techniques of data warehouse are studied. Then, the implementation of data warehouse is studied.Finally, The paper uses the information analysis system of TaiKang life assurance Company as its background project, introduced project design method and implement procedure, by investigating the business command and considering the present application of TaiKang life assurance Company. A method of building data warehouse for TaiKang life assurance Company has been designed. The content of this paper's research is as follows.(1) The characters of ODS and the structure of DB-ODS-DW is studied, and a DB-ODS-DW structure which is combined with data bazaar is presented for the background project.(2) The logical model and processing design of ETL technique.(3) Technique of data modeling. E-R modeling and dimension modeling are studied. In the project, star-style and snow-style are used for modeling.The results of this paper are used for TaiKang life assurance Company. Presently, the system is in a good condition, and it has a positive effect on the company's decision making.
