With the development of scientific technology and the popularity of Internet, the traditional human monitoring system for rice storage is taken place by much convenient and high accuracy monitoring and control system. Based on the single computer technology used for local measurement and control, the whole measurement and control system can be linked together by Internet Web visiting method. Administrators are able to understand different environment conditions much faster and easier, and they can change the environment by controlling motors.This thesis introduces the design of a modern measurement and control system for rice storage based on ARM embedded developing board. After the signals collected by sensors of the measurement and control system, the data is processed and displayed on the webpage and the LCD of embedded developing board. By TCP/IP protocol, the real time data can be monitored through IE browser, and the data also can be saved and printed. Moreover the devices like motors can be controlled to work by the button click in the webpage. The hardware system uses ARM9 microprocessor S3C2410, in the way of core board and basic board, it can collect multi-channel analog and digital signals. The hardware system supports standard RS232 interface and USB interface, and it supports the human-computer interaction interface of LCD display and touch screen, which provides a good monitoring and control interface for the operators. The software system works in the mode of cross compile, based on embedded Linux OS. The sensor drivers and motor control program are compiled in C programming language. The remote monitoring and control system is set up with Boa Embedded Web Server and SQLite Database. And the terminal interface program is worked out using MiniGUI graphic software system. In the first chapter, it expounds the background of the research program and designature of Multi-functional Measuring and Control System for Rice Storage. In the second chapter, it introduces the design of Multi-functional Measuring and Control System, which include the features of embedded system, its software and hardware components, and the various sensors and motor controller used in the system design. In the third chapter, it draws the complication of Multi-functional Measuring and Control System detailly, which includes the software developing processes in embeded system, the driver and control programs for sensors and motor controller and the design of remote monitoring and control system based on Embedded Web Server. In the fourth chapter, it introduces the designs of MiniGUI software interface and application programs.In the end, this paper sum-up and estimate the accomplish circumstance of this task, and give the advices of future developments for this task.
