RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is a high efficient identification and information collection technology. With its unique advantages of contactless operation, rapid and multi-targets recognitions, it is widely used in warehouse logistics, retail and food safety. It becomes a hotspot of the present study and application. On the other hand, embedded technology at the core of embedded microprocessor has made rapid progress in practice with the development of semiconductor technology and microelectronic technology. It has been inevitable trend to develop RFID system using advanced embedded technology.While in home market, most of RFID systems are based on single chip processor without embedded operation system, function simply. It is hard for them to achieve Multi-tasking functions. In this situation, we developed a multi-interface, modularization, portable, user-friendly interface RFID intelligent terminal system. This paper is made up of the following parts:1,The principles of RFID technology, as well as the area of RFID technology and its system applications have been researched. On this basis, we build the embedded Linux platform of the intelligent terminal including the design of hardware platform and the realization of the software platform.2,Design and implement three functional modules of intelligent terminal. They are human-computer interaction module, communication module and embedded database module. Human-computer interaction module and communication module include both the design of hardware and the realization software. Embedded database module includes the analysis of SQLite database and its application in intelligent Terminal.3,Develop the system application program based upon MiniGUI embedded graphical user interface support system and the above functional modules.The performance test shows that this terminal can interactions with tag correctly, and can connect with internet well. The prototype can work stably and achieve the expected goals.
