Identity authentication is an important way to protect private information; it has become the biggest concern as the first defense line of the open network system. But single identification has so many drawbacks that it can not follow the demand of network development as well as the protection from invasion of the network attacks. In this instance a security mechanism with the identification, biometric and PKI combined has been proposed to provide a more safety authentication. The combination authentication system will inherit the high accuracy recognition, non-volatility, Anti-Counterfeit, anti-attack from the above security technologies.Under the researches and analyses of the network identity authentication technologies, an authentication method which combined the fingerprint recognition, smart card, PKI technologies together has been proposed as well as the prove of its high secure property and feasibility. The combined identify authentication system sift through the fingerprint identification algorithms to find an efficient, non-complex way to use the fingerprint recognition technology. The combined identify authentication system uses independent file format which contains the digital certification, private key and fingerprint template data without changing the hardware configuration of smart card. The information transaction procedure is initiated only after the input fingerprint is matched with the fingerprint template, then the digital signature and encryption would be processed to confirm the transaction. Because of the integration of the fingerprint identify technology the combined identify authentication system is not only insured high security but also provide extreme personality and Uniqueness. In this paper, we propose the specific identification procedure of the implementation of this authentication system, which offers fingerprint registration, certification generation, user verification and system identification functions. Furthermore, in order to meet the demand of convenient applies, the combined identify authentication system adopts an independent file format and fingerprint template data structures, which enhances the integration ability of the system. At last, the paper introduces an implementation of the system, and gives the analyses result on the security test.
