Workflow-Based Dynamic Resource Management For Mobile Devices

With the growing mobile communications technology development, a variety of mobile / wireless devices has become progressively more complex, more and more difficult to manage. Equipment resources, especially the type and quantity of change frequently, as well as various business processes difficult to fixed, making the traditional equipment resources management program difficult to effectively deal with these new features.Workflow is a series of interrelated automatically carried out operational activities or tasks. Workflow technology will be applied to equipment, resources management system means the system is the application of logic and the logic of the separation process, managers can change the system at any time existing business processes or the new customized business processes. This has greatly increased the flexibility of the system so that operators do not have to because the device types of updates and changes in business process re-order equipment management system, and only need to redefine the course of the work flow model, would enable the existing management system needs to adapt to the new process, thus greatly improving the operator's management efficiency, reduced operating costs.Based on the observation and comparison about a variety of theory of Workflow modeling , this article makes a deep research on Workflow Meta-model scalability and workflow management system implementation, etc. For the Workflow Meta-model, this paper designs a Workflow controllable Meta-model based on process, organization and data. Using of ontology modeling methods, it defines the ontology concept of the Workflow Meta-model, analyses the relationship among ontology concepts and defines the property of the key concepts. The meta model can be applied for different areas of expansion and have dynamic adaptability.Based on the above design, combined with the demand for mobile device management features, the Workflow controllable Meta-model based on process, organization and data is successfully applied in the dynamic management of mobile device resources, which has been actualized in Tianjin Mobile Dynamic Resource Management System project, and achieved the desired results.
