Along with the continual development of mobile telecommunication technology, mobile telecom network has transitioned through 2G to 2.5G. Now it is shifting to 3G network. Given the more and more diversified services and the increase of equipments, the current maintenance and means of mobile service providers could not meet the booming needs of the network size. All the mobile service providers are building up their multi-dimensional maintenance system based on integrated network management, auto run and implementing system, signal monitoring, and dialing test system.The Auto Run and Implementing System (ARIS) is tailor-made software according to the specific needs of mobile service providers and become one subsystem of the solution for multi-dimensional system of mobile service provider. The system can make the operating works electronic, automatic, concentrated, which makes the daily monitor work implementing automatically, so that it is no longer needed to input the command in the terminal manually. Users can remotely log on the equipment and issue command to monitor the system. According to the various characteristics of systems, users can edit certain scripts in advance and set implementing period. The ARIS implement the command automatically. The system can further analyse the implementing results according to preset models and transfer the warnings to the network management system with an integrated results. In the mean time, the results can be generated to report and sent to EOMS system semi-automatically through an interface of EOMS for documentation. The ARIS can make our maintenance job preventable instead of passive; it can also make the job more efficient with the same manpower, which means it can save the costs a lot.The main contributions in this paper are as below,1. Collection and description of user needs: Using quick prototype methods to study needs in the ARIS so that the user needs can be correctly collected and described. In this way the experiences can be borrowed in the following customerized software development such as network management system and etc.2. The function design and realization of the interface with EOMS: I complete the function design of ARIS based on user needs. I' m also responsible for developing in the application of the interface between the ARIS and EOMS, deploy the auto running and implementing task scripts, and final test the product, so as to improve the service provider's maintenance capability and efficiency.ARIS now has been put into use successfully in Beijing mobile date business system and realized more than 20 business systems. Through auto running and implementing of hundreds of equipments, the service provider's maintenance capability and efficiency are greatly improved and the maintenance cost are highly reduced. The design solution of ARIS has been included into the second phase rules and regulations of China Mobile Data Network Management and will be applied across the whole nation. |
