In the twenty-first century, modern service industry is in the rapid development in global. The industrial structure of the main developed countries make great changes from industrial-based economy to services-based economy. Upgrade of manufacturing industry depends on the professional services of R&D, design, brand and channels. And it's becoming the commanding heights of international industrial competitiveness. In this background, the author's lab and other 8 entities applied the project "Research on Modern Service Industry Common Service Integrate Technology" which is a sub-project of 11th Five-year's National Key Technology R&D Program "Modern Service Industry Common Technologies Supporting System and Application Example Projects". The conclusions in this paper are some achievements of the project.This paper first study and discuss the basic theory of traditional telecommunication operation support and enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM). Then it innovatively uses those as theoretical foundation to bring up a modern service industry common service operation support solution which is added some currently respected idea SOA.In the third chapter, it focuses on the design and implementation of the modern service industry common service operation support system (MOSS) based on the theories above. And it's the main study work in the author's graduated time. This chapter begins at the flow of common service operation support. Then it mainly introduces the design of MOSS's sub-modules with comparison to traditional telecommunication operation support systems. And it discusses some details. Since the research on modern service industry common service integration and operation just starts, it lacks successful experiences in this field. There are some hard technical problems in the implementation. The author has done a lot of research works for solution of some of the problems, and concludes these key technologies in the 4th chapter of this paper. These problems are the access information abstraction of common services to MOSS, the monitoring technology of common services invoking and the user behavior collection in the common service operation support.The modern service industry common service operation support system mentioned in this paper now has passed the third-party professional test and the final acceptance of the project. And it can be in the on-line operating phase soon. But this system needs a long-term process of accumulation to improve and perfect because there are few entity having deeply research in this field. There is still much space of our country's modern service industry development. We believe that the achievements of this paper can provide a positive reference value for related research in the future.
