| System integration of Digital Library attracted more and more attention in order to share application widely, to solve the problem effectively, the platform of digital library for sharing application (PAAS) was created. PAAS was based on the Internet/Intranet environment, many advanced and mature technology such as J2EE, MySQL, XML, Object-oriented database modeling were adopted to implement its components including Message-Management, Log-Management, Local-Resource-Management and Workflow-Management.The main points were further elaborated as the following parts:1. Chose J2EE structure for obtaining the capability of covering the differences of heterogeneous system.2. Investigated the current state of enterprise application integration (EAI), analyzed the relationship of every application system and then brought out one integration solution which centering on platform and taking the message server as bridge.3. Designed and implemented the PAAS. The platform realized plenty of fundamental functions such as resource-processing, resource-searching and offered its function-interfaces to other systems in the form of web service. The platform applied open source framework-JBPM for assignment-tracking and management. This way made positive influence on system flexibility and expandability.4. Apply the platform to other systems for the sake of implementation of modules e.g. resource-ingestion, resource-processing.The paper has five chapters. Chapter I is Introduction, it mainly introduces the current situation of digital library and the background of development. Chapter II is about technology of PAAS, involving JMS, JBPM. Chapter IV is concerning the implement of PAAS. It reveals how PAAS comes true. Chapter III discusses the design of PAAS; it discusses the primary target, integration framework, system framework of platform and describes every component in detail. Chapter V is conclusion. It summarizes the paper and gives some proposal for the future research. |
