Along with the social progress and development, industry and Commerce has entered the era of internationalization. The company's business and demand has become large and complex. The traditional working mode completes the work by manual way in which the information transfers between the relevant departments progressively through paper documents and forms. This mode is often inefficient, error-prone, and contains a lot of loopholes. In the paperless, efficient office thinking initiative, there has been information system.The growing demand for information systems, results in a variety of versions of the information system. In order to make the information systems development is becoming standardized, efficient, there must be a powerful development platform. The workflow technology is considered as a new method for developing information systems. It is the scope of computer-supported collaborative work (CSCW). It can effectively improve the design and development of the information systems. Workflow technology can perform the process automatically by using the workflow engine. This makes a mapping between the Workflow process model and the business model; ensures the correct implementation of the task. Workflow software has been widely used in e-commerce, e-government, online office management system and other information systems.This paper designs and implements an information systems development platform using workflow technology as the basis of information system. First, the paper studied the workflow technology. In this process, we understand the classification method and problems of workflow, clarified the definition of the workflow, understand the workflow modeling and workflow engine works, and finally mastered the technology of workflow to achieve.Then the paper analyzes the requirement of information system and designs the development platform. In architecture, Thesis adopts hierarchical and modular design concepts to build the platform. The system is divided into five levels from the bottom: system layer, service layer, frame layer, model layer and application layer. Functional interfaces and services are provided by lower layer. Design and development patterns are composed by process modeling, process debugging verification, process release deployment and processes application.Reference the model used in current information systems and structures, in the article workflow engine will be embedded in the current popular information system framework. In this way workflow can be used in the common information system and both of them can play advantage. Paper also defines the workflow state and the task state which are basic and necessary. The workflow state includes initiated,running,timeout,suspended,abort and completed. The task state is composed of initiated,running,timeout,suspended,abort,reback,completed and waiting. Those state are described by sate transition diagram.Finally, according to design requirements and workflow features of the platform achieves the implementation. In chapters, the important classes and the relations between them are shown detailed using diagrams and text. At the same time, process model, process properties, each node in the process and other important part of the implementation are described in illustrated.The system implemented in this paper has been deployed in real application. After using a lot of months, the system has been verified to satisfy the requirements of the information systems development and achieve the intended purpose.
