Majishan port is the special iron-ore transfer port of Baosteel, which plays an important role in iron-ore transportation of Baosteel. Material yard management is one of the most important elements of port management. Since the port put into service, the yard allocate plan remains as handwork. Flow conflict and overtime work occur frequent in this case, as well as the low efficient, which limits the increase of throughput and yard utilization. To solve this problem, with the foundation of Majishan Information System, the intelligent allocation technique of Majishan material yard is under study. Automatic and prompt yard allocation made by computer program is expected to this technique, which can increase the rate of yard utilization and decrease the time of flow conflict. This article mainly illuminates the thoughts and methods to establish the Intelligent technique of yard allocation automatically by computer in according with the rules of computer model. First, flow analysis, turning all handling flows into computer code. Second, calculating the length of material pile by math formula when stack and reclaim. Third, fixing on the I/O of the module. Final, listing the rules of allocation and enduing with priority level, then finding out available results through flow-clash-matrix. A sample is showed in this article to validate the module.Intelligent yard-allocation technique is put into use to the first phase of Majishan port . Time for drewing up yard allocation plan is greatly reduced. Yard utilization is improved.
