The management of the coal yard in thermal power plant has became one of the factors thathinders the improvement of the informatization of the plant. It is important to study how toimprove the safety,reliability and usability of the coal yard managing system;how to enhanceefficiency, decrease operation cost and boost company competitiveness. The key to solvethese problems is to carry out intelligent coal yard management and effectively evaluate themanaging system. To explore an evaluation standard of the intelligent coal yard managingsystem that is suitable for our country is a top priority of our power industry.This paper combines theory with sample analysis. By studying the current situation andproblems of the large thermal power plant’s informatization and their current problems,itproposes the concept of intelligent coal yard consisting of digital coal yardmanagement,intelligent stackingl and Intelligent material taking.According to characteristicsof thermal power plants, this paper points out the basic principles for the comprehensiveevaluation system construction of the intelligent coal yard managing system as feasibility andoperability principles with the combination of scientificity and advancement,Comprehensiveness and systematicness, qualitative and quantitative analyses. Under theguidance of this principles, the evaluation indexes are divided into system construction,system functions, system performance, economic benefits, and the system application andthen the paper extend the details of the above. Finally it creates an overall comprehensiveevaluation index system for the intelligent coal yard managing system. the weights of theindex system are calculated based on the results of questionnaire, advice from the experts andthe combination of quantitive analysis and quantitative analysis, using the analytic hierarchyprocess(AHP). The first stage weights of the index system are0.0764、0.4263、0.2500、0.0482、0.1991. The model of comprehensive evaluation on the intelligent coal yard managingsystem of thermal power plant is created by using fuzzy evaluation and this is an attempt atthe comprehensive evaluation on the intelligent coal yard managing system. Finally thismodel can be applied to H thermal power plants and gives advice for the enterprise’smanagers based on the result of evaluation and current situation of the intelligent coal yard managing system of H thermal power plants. This also verifies the validity of the evaluationmodel.The purpose of the study is to improve the labor productivity, reduce production costs andbring huge economic benefits for the enterprise through conducting the intelligent coal yardmanaging system.
