Since the beginning of the 21st century, the rapid economic development increases the pace of modernization, and speeds up the urban infrastructure, transportation, water conservancy facilities, the construction of exploration. There is a pressing need for a high precision, easy-to-use portable instrument exploration, which can be carried out anytime, anywhere, to improve the quality of construction and shorten the construction cycle, creating the largest economic benefits. With the technical development of seismic exploration, seismic exploration has moved from the development of two-dimensional to exploration of three-dimensional imaging. Three seismic survey of the number of geophone put forward higher requirements for data acquisition and higher demand.A data transmission system which can satisfy the demand of the digital detector data acquisition was designed in order to reduce the cost and the complexity of cabling. After an in-depth study on the basis of RS-485 protocol and 802.11 wireless network communication protocol, a new method of the network architecture which combines bus network with wireless network was designed. In addition, a digital data transmission application layer protocol was designed and the structure of the data packages was defined.In addition, a router node was designed, which bases on 802.11wireless network communication protocol and RIP Routing Algorithm. The router node includes of hardware and software. The main components involved in the hardware modules: CPU Control Module, RS-485 bus transfer module, the wireless network modules which uses RTL8187 chip as the core, GPS modules, Flash memory modules and LCD display module. Routing node in the design, including: the appropriate hardware, application software design,μC/OS-II system transplant, RS-485 module interface design, LwIP transplantation, LCD module design, andμC/GUI design transplants. And for the data transmission network, data acquisition software which runs on Personal Computer was designed.If the network architecture was applied to the digital detector data transmission, will greatly enhance the implementation of the seismic exploration efficiency and reduce development costs.
