LAN Computer Scout System With Web Page Browsing Function

Computer Scout System is a kind of computer aided management system, which aims to improve managerial efficiency of computers in local area network. It is based on computer supervisory control technique and presented to users with a form of web pages. To users,the combination of computer supervisory control technique and Web technique brings comfortable operation experience. It also enables users to browse specific data of computers in local area network through Internet.At first, this paper illustrates development status and trend of computer scout system. Considering the result of comparing C/S with B/S development modes in two aspects that are technique characteristics and application advantages,a mixed development mode integrated with both C/S and B/S development mode is determined according to system demands. Main system flow is designed under the thinking of component development and object-oriented design. It enables the system to run normally even though abnormal condition happens to computers and network. Then this paper introduces the design process of database and user interface. At last, after a comprehensive study of several technical solutions, a communication module based on TCP/IP protocol is worked out.With reasonable control flow, scout system will obtain the change of computer online-status in time, which ensures stabilization of system. Pluralism Web pages, wise coloration and simple web pages provide a user-inviting interface. Rational arrangement of controls make it easy to use scout system. With support of ActiveX technique, a browser can receive real-time data. Users can browse the computer screens in specific local area network through a browser. Using TCP protocol as well as UDP protocol, scout system succeeds in improving transfer speed. A NAT traversing technique, which makes data transfer through Internet come true, is introduced by this paper.Using Winsock,ActiveX,WebService,database and other techniques,scout system realises its basic functions. Until now it is running stably and achieved the anticipative goal.
