Feedback control systems which connected through a real-time network are called networked control systems(NCS), in which the information can be exchanged using a networked between control system nodes including(sensors, controllers and actuators).The main advantages of an NCS are to resource share such as system diagnosis ,maintenance, and increased system agility.According to the previous research experience, a new NCS model based on the generalized predictive control(GPC) is researched. With the prediction ability of GPC, this algorithm can successfully compensate the random delay of NCS to come extend, thus the stability of the control system is assured, Simulation experiments are finished in Truetime network lab.According to the requirements of field equipments, a hardware platform is designed for Ethernet with the powerful embedded CPU ARM. In the meantime the platform can meet some other functions , such as field data collection, control output. Temperature control system of electronic is realized on the experiment platform..The paper is divided into five parts. The background, significance and actuality of the research are actuality of the research are introduced in the first part. In the second part, the characteristic,working mode and time delay of NCS are presents, analyses the reason for time delay and it's influence for system performance. In the third part, GPC compensation algorithm is researched for Ethernet control systems with uncertain transmission delay. In the forth part, a NCS platform's temperature control system of electronic oven is designed based on LPC2292. Finally, whole works in this paper and prospects for the future research a concluded.
