Feedback control systems connected through a network are called networked control systems (NCS).NCSs is the product which unify the control scientific and the high speed development computer network and the communication technology. The primary advantages of the NCS are the sharing of system resource, ease of system diagnosis and maintenance, and increased system agility. Consequently, the networked control systems have a broad engineering application. On the other hand, few disadvantages also appear, specifically network-induced delay, dropping of network packets, single-packet or multiple-packet transmission, scheduling of network and so on. Therefore, NCSs brings the new opportunity and the challenge for the control domain research. In this dissertation, the research focus on the problem of the network-induced delay in the networked control systems. The main task is as follows.1) NCS's background, concept, characteristic, basic problems are introduced and a survey of NCS research work is given. Then propose the main work the thesis done.2) the dissertation introduces the development, basic algorithm and characteristic of generalized predictive control (GPC) as well as its controller parameter to system performance influence.3) the dissertation is to show that the problems caused by the time delay in the forward channels of the NCS can be solved in an active way using generalized predictive control. With the prediction ability of GPC, this algorithm can successfully compensate the time delay in the forward channels of the NCSs.4) The stable analysis of the method proposed was carried on through the theory inferential reasoning and the stable conclusion was given.5) The example analysis and the simulation results shows that the proposed way is efficiency and the stable analysis is validity. Finally, It summarizes the works of this dissertation and points out the direction of the further study.
