Based on the increase of the communication ability of Satellite Transport and double workload of testing, the auto-testing platform for communication ability of Satellite Transport has been completed.Overall structure has been designed based on application-communication-service. Structurally, the platform is divided into, upper layer-visual operation client, communication protocol layer and bottom layer-server. From the function, the platform software includes four modules, which are test configuration, task implementation, data analysis and pigeonhole. And they are managed by the overall structure management module. About the hardware, GPIB bus protocol has been used to control test instruments, which are packaged by IVI and provide standard interface. Switching used to meet different needs of user. Based on software, the auto-testing software involved the automatic structure to traditional way of satellite transport test. An automatic and all-purpose test process has been created and applied to current test.Take I/O character test to be example. In a testing which got 49 test-points, the saturated power is 1.73dB, saturated output power is 23.19dB, and saturated gain is 52.69dB. This result reached the standards of Satellite Transport. The auto-testing platform for Satellite Transport is already used in actual test of satellite communication ability.
