Compared to traditional optic fibers, Photonic crystal fibers have a lot of unparalleled advantages and application values. But its research and production at home and abroad are still certain difficulties. In this paper, by changing the structure parameters of photonic crystal, we used the simulation soft ware to simulate and discuss the relationship between the photonic crystal fibers properties and structural parameters. This is very significant to give some guidance to the practical development and application.Structural parameters is one of the most important factors to influence the performance of photonic crystal fiber .And compared to traditional single-mode fiber, geometric design of photonic crystal fibers has a unique and innovative features: by adjusting the structure of photonic crystal fiber, that is, the air-clad and air-hole diameter, we can effectively change the characteristics of optical fibers.In this paper, by using the full-vector plane-wave methods,we analysis the photonic crystal fiber defects in the destruction of its crystal lattice symmetry. Firstly, we discussed the relationship between fiber dispersion maps and the structural parameters on the dispersion characteristics of different types of air by changing the fill rate (fill = d /Λ, in which d andΛwere clad section of the air hole diameter and spacing).We found when the value of the fill-fraction was got to 0.45, this parameter will enable the realization of light waves in the zero-dispersion around 1550nm and reach to the biggest plus at 1300nm.. And then with the increase in the wavelength , the disperse index reduce slowly to zero and the zero point shift to the long-wavelength direction. Secondly, we set the value of the fill-fraction to 0.3,0.45,0.7。We find that the optical wave is better confined and the optical power is mostly confined in the core when value of the fill-fraction was set to 0.45 .Lastly, it also discussed the structural parameters of the effects of photonic band gap and found that as the fill value fill rate of air increases, the width of photonic band gap gradually widened. In particular, when the values of fill-fraction are filled in the 0.4-0.5 range, photonic band gap is relatively wide. And with increasing the value of the fill-fraction, the band-gaps are gradually moving to the high-frequency direction-----visible light wave direction.Finally, we give our summarize and the next step about our work.
