Dispersion flattened photonic crystal fiber shows lots of application potentials indense wavelength division multiplexing, wavelength conversion and supercontinuumgeneration, etc. So it is a research hotspot in the area of Optical crystal fiber. On accountof the large number of design parameters, a double cladding structure is presented in thisthesis. The influence of structural parameters of inner and outer claddings on opticalproperties of optical crystal fiber is analyzed. The influencing law of structural parameterson dispersion-flattened properties is generalized, and the single-mode transmissionproperties are analyzed. The main contents are described as follows:First, the concept and properties of optical crystal fiber introduced. The developmenton the design of dispersion flattened optical crystal fiber and their applications isintroduced in detail. What is more, the method of multipole theory is described emphatica-lly.Second, by means of multiple method, the dispersion characteristic, mode area, modedistribution and confinement loss of the double cladding dispersion flattened opticalcrystal fiber have been numerically investigated. Then the influencing rule of structuralparameters on optical properties is discussed.Next, by means of multiple method, three kinds of double cladding dispersionflattened optical crystal fiber are designed, which have three, four and five inner layersrespectively and two outer layers. Also, the confinement loss and mode area of the fiberhave been numerically investigated. Lots of properties can be achieved simultaneously bydouble cladding dispersion flattened optical crystal fiber.Finally, The influence of structural parameters of double cladding dispersionflattened optical crystal fiber on the losses of fundamental mode and second order mode ofare analyzed using multipole method. Then the mode area and loss of fundamental modeand second order mode of the three kinds of double cladding dispersion flattened opticalcrystal fiber designed above are numerically investigated.
