NoC's communication node includes router, network interface and link. Based on 2D-mesh topology, XY route algorithm, wormhole switch technique and Round-Robin arbitration, this paper presents a new router structure which can select data transmission direction, arbitrate transmission request correctly and deal with network congestion effectively. Furthermore, a low-latency, high-throughput network interface is designed to perform data protocol conversion between network and PE. The average latency introduced by it is 4 clock-cycles, and the throughput achieves up to 0.76flits/cycle for a random transaction. Since crosstalk between links has been one of key issues influencing signal integrality and transmission bandwidth, an adaptive drive approach aiming suppress signal jitter of long links is also proposed. As a result, relative jitter can reduces to 4.5% and transmission frequency on links reach 1GHz.Simulation and synthesis result show that those proposed methods are so available, configurable, effective that they can satisfy on-chip communication requirement. A NoC architecture could be formed rapidly and simply through IP reuse.
