Wearable Information Collection System (WICS) is built up as an effective information exchange platform between individual and external environment. WICS can improve individual ability to acquire information from the external environment and implement transmission and processing of information rapidly. Sequentially this all make individual react indispensably in the face of complex situation. Therefore, it has great significance to research and design a complete set of WICS.The function of WICS is confirmed according as the theory and practice of foreign"soldier system". Via tracking the forefront of technology-related fields in the background of individual especially application of the field staff, the study focused on the design and implementation of WICS. Based on individual wearing accouterments and helmets platform, this paper researched and designed the overall technical solutions for two major subsystems of WICS.A set of WICS was finally designed and built for the field staff on the base of researching the entire system. Synchronously the paper researched and analyzed all information modules of WICS, especially paid attention to wearable computer, power source management, the key technology of short-range wireless transmission and integration technology of WICS for an in-depth study.
