The PCBA Automated Test System Based On Virtual Instrument

PCBA (Pinter Circuit Board Assembly) is main part of electronic products, and PCBA's function is becoming more and more comlex now. If we choose traditional instruments to test different functions in a PCBA, we must to use many kinds of instruments. That will make the test system complexly.VI (Virtual Instrument) was proposed by NI Corporation. Comparing with traditional Instruments, VI's data processing and display are conducted by computer and software, therefore the computer and software are the core of VI. When computer and suitable I/O are chosen, the VI's hardware platform is determined, and a VI has different functions with developing different test software. So VI's function may be changed by user flexibly, not determined by the factory as traditional instruments.This paper describes an Automated Test System, (ATS) which can test the functions in a series of PCBAs. This ATS consists of LabVIEW as software and DQA& IMAQ as hardware, and it enhanced test efficiency promptly.
