As the development of IC design and process technology, Electronic Information Products or systems require higher performance and cost-benefit of analog IC. In order to meet the requirement of different conditions, integrated circuits must be designed according to user's needs. Circuits design with BiCMOS technology has not only the characteristics of CMOS circuits, but also some merits of bipolar technology, so it has found wide use. Since amplifier is the basic unit of analog IC and mixed signal IC, intensive study on its design is important. The major work of this paper is to design a high voltage BiCMOS operational amplifier with high performance. The basic two stage amplifier with Miller compensation can realize high-gain and high stability; the biasing circuit of the amplifier stage with cascade structure can realize good performance of PSRR and CMRR; the two stage emitter follower outputs can significantly improve the drive capability of the circuit. In addition, the multi-objective optimization of the unity gain transient step response time of rising and falling edges is completed. Finally, by using the Hspice software, the related index are analyzed and simulated with ASMC 1.2um BCD technology, the circuit is also optimized by using its optimization module. On that basis, the layout of units and the whole circuit are finished by using Cvadence/Virtuso referring to the floor-planning of the product CA3140's layout designed by foreigner, the design rules and the consistency of circuit and its netlist are also checked by Diva.
