With the continuous advancement of technology, business model is in constant change and the volume of business also has explosive growth. Optical fiber communication turned up to enable the telecommunications industry entering a new era, and optical networks is undoubtedly the most active areas of the optical fiber communication times. The optical network has developed from the realization of business development based on SDH layer to the level of optical-layer optical transport network (OTN, Optical Transport Network) and all-optical network (ASON, Automatic Switching Optical Network). OTN is a technology that achives business exchange, multiplexing, routing and other functions in the optical layer. Now in the public telecommunications network, 95% of all data traffic beginning and ending on Ethernet. Ethernet in modern communications were also occupies a dominant position. With the development of OTN technology, the exchange and mutual transmission between OTN and Ethernet technology will inevitably appear. This article is based on transmission of OTN control plane. As the control information,OTN overhead need to communicate the main control or other paragraph network with each other. But the communications between Mains and between Main and other board are based on the Ethernet. This article is an Ethernet processing chip based on FPGA design, maily extract some of the OTN overheads (such as GCC0,GCC1, RES and so on)from parallel port.It transport these overheads to the Mains or other board on the Ethernet level. And it also inserts the information from the main or other board to OTN chips, completing the management and delivery of OTN overheads on the second level of the network.
