Jean Baudrillard is very famous in field of postmodern theory,His theories have attracted a wide spread attention in Chinese academia circles during recent years.because his theory is not only monstrous and extremeness but also vanward and original,using series of concepts and theories,Baudrillard displays a absurd symbol society that media technology is dominant.He said at antemortem:"I am my own simulacra",now,the simulacra has already away,and left behind many problems deserve to think deeply .This paper is just a try of think on his media views.Through to media theory introduction of Mcluhan,Maxism and the Frankfurt school,we seek for the source of Baudrillard's media theory,and there is a comparison between Baudrillard's theory and these original theories on mass' status,pointing out semiotics and technical view are internal train of thought of his media theory.Nextly,we attempt to reading his media theories by deviding into former and late period,according to Baudrillard different attitudes to the mass,each with three aspects expansion in sequence:media circumstance,relationship between media and mass,mass situation.on this basic,so we have a comparison between former and late in coherence and difference.Besides,we want to find the essence of Baudrillard's attitude to masses,the answer is that his view of post-modern philosophy leads to exaggerating object and despising masses.This attitude too extreme,despite this, it is undeniable to awake of masses in exanimation in the age that the media has beening strong tendency.
