Science paper is an important carrier for researchers to express their innovative ideas, and is a crucial way to promote the scientific achievements into practical productive forces. However, there are many shortcomings with the traditional paper-based journals for science paper, such as the single manifestations and the long publish cycle, they impede the creation and research capabilities of the researcher and can not meet the growing needs of the researchers. Therefore the study on multidimensional expressing and integrated authoring technologies for science papers is a meaningful topic that has good applications background and useful promotion value.This study was supported by the Ministry of Education Doctoral Fund Project, it analyzed the shortcomings of traditional science papers, did research on the multidimensional expressing methods and integrated authoring techniques for integrating multimedias like text, graphics, images, sounds, video, animation and other media types to science paper and built a multidimensional sicence paper integrated authoring platform in the distributed environment based on the advanced computer network technologies. In general, the research includes:Firstly, this thesis had in-depth studies on the conduct of multidimensional paper and the expressing methods, analyzed the constructure of multidimensional paper from many aspects such as the logical structure, layout structure, link structure as well as the storage structure, and then defined the XML-based multidimensional expressing and content organizing framework.Secondly, based on the systematic analysis of the multimedia technologies and current document data modles, also considered the requirements of the expressing, integrated operations and compoud retrieval of multidimensional paper, this thesis proposed an object-oriented multidimensional paper data model, then elaborated and defined the model in many aspects such as the framework of the model, objet types and the relationships between the objects in the model.Thirdly, the thesis discussed key techniques and methods of multidimensional paper integrated authoring. In order to achieve the synchronization control beteen the multimedia objects in a multidimensional paper, a compounded synchronization control mechanism(RPM) was proposed; Studied the metadata description methods of multidimensional resources, then designed a semantic-based multidimensional resources matching algorithm to achieve resources sharing between different authors; Studied and designed the technical architecture of reference management in multidimensional paper, with this technique, it's easy to achieve the management, citation, retrieval of references and generation of paper reference contents.Finally, based on the above study results, this paper designed and implemented a multidimensional paper intergrated authoring platform named XWord. The system was deployed to "Sciencepaper Online" for researchers to download, the trial run works well.
