Research On Service Mode Of Subject-Based Information Gateways Under Web2.0 Environment

Nowadays along with the development of network technology,the information resources of network increase rapidly;meanwhile,it brings the bad quality and the redundancy of information.The search engines play an important role of the organization and the retrieval for network's information resources,but the recall rate and the precision are not satisfied.It is difficult for users to obtain high-quality and professional information resources.The emergence of Subject-Based Information Gateways(SBIGs) solves this problem efficiently.In the open digital information services situations,it addresses itself to integration of the information resource of the particular subject area,tools and services and providing users with a convenient entrance to information retrieval and services.From the development of SBIGs at home and abroad,it is some issues to be solved,such as the low level of users' interaction and the low degree of personalization and individuality.Web2.0 is another product of the development of Internet.It is also a new concept of information services.Web2.0 focuses on the demand of users and emphasizes on the effective interaction and service means practically and efficiently through the applications of services and technologies,such as Blog,Wiki and Tag.It has changed the traditional website of information production and dissemination from the one-way mode which only a small number of authorities control the information resources to a new mode which advocates collective wisdoms and strengths of users. This paper proposes to construct a new SBIGs based on the concept of Web2.0,which focuses on the participation,interaction and personalization of users.It hopes to achieve the effective organization of resources and to realize the navigation and query of resources through the organization of relevant information content.This paper is made up of six parts.The first part is the introduction,in which the research subject of this thesis is introduced and the current situation of the domestic and overseas research in this field is clearly expounded.The second part introduces mainly the definitions of SBIGs and Web2.0,describing the definition,characteristics, types,applications and development status of them.The third part gives exact reasons for the launch of SBIGs under the Web2.0 environment.The fourth part is the core of this paper,which introduces the service mode of SBIGs under Web2.0 environment, including the description of the characters,the applications and the constructions of it. The fifth part gives the advantage and the problem of SBIGs under Web2.0 environment based on the investigations and researches of the projects of it.The last part is pointed that the SBIGs under Web2.0 environment should attach importance to some urgent problems in future and also pointes out its future directions.
