With the rapid development of Internet and wireless access technologies, coupled with the boom of personal computing devices,end-user can access pervasive service by various mobile terminals, anywhere and anytime.Mobile terminals(including mobile phone,MID,PDA,etc.) not only integrate the office work,Internet, photography, but also integrate a variety of network accesses. The users' requirement of switch and continuous services in different networks or between different access terminals is higher than before. Those have brought a new change of network:from a multiservice-support network into services can be transparent switched and continuously serviced between multi-networks.Session migration refers to that when a service is obtained by user through the network,it can be suspended and resumed the current session in different networks or between different access terminals. This switch could be between not only heterogeneous networks, but also different terminals.Universal Network is a new Internet architecture. The core idea of universal network is to converge all kinds of network(such as the fixed wired network, wireless network and sensor network) by importing Service Identifier(SID),Connection Identifier(CID),Access Identifier(AID),Route Identifier(RID) and the corresponding mapping.Universal Network is an integrated network communication platform which supports a great variety of network service, including data, voice and video. In this work,we mainly address the problem how to design and implement of Session Migration Based on Connection Identifier Peer-toPeer Patterns in the Universal Network.Firstly,we introduce some typical solutions for the session migration, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, and make a brief comparison.Secondly,we analyze the function requirements on corresponding maping based on Connection Identifier and define the Connection Identifier in the session layer. This blue print can support the traditional network applications.Thirdly, the blue print combine Java programming with kernel module programming to implement the session migration in Linux Operation System. This work provides a platform for testing and analyzing the session migration based on connection identifier of Universal Network, and it builds a good foundation for other researchers in the Universal Network.
