The Comparison And Enlightenment Of The Development Of New Media In China Before And After Beijing Olympic Games

Marshall McLuhan, the famous scholar in communication, raised that "the medium is the message" in 1964. Today, new media in modern society leads to increasingly far-reaching influence . Firstly, this thesis sorts out the extensive applications of new media in previous and Beijing Olympic Games. And then, With the Olympic Games as a dividing line, taking typical events and industrial environment after the Olympic Games as emphasis,I compare the former and later characters of the development of new media, as well as industrial environment, and analyze the progress and common problems of the development of new media. Finally, I analyze the challenges that new media information games, copyright, International Communication, national policies and industry self-regulation faces, and then offer the appropriate strategies ,which have referential significance when our country organizes other large-scale sporting events and activities in the future.The innovation of this thesis is that I mainly use content analysis and contrast analysis methods, as well as the quantitative and qualitative analysis, text analysis methods. I paid close attention to typical events and industrial environment before and after the Olympic Games, and analyze the phenomenon and root causes of them, and propose many accurate and meaningful strategies.
