Xiangjiang comment which on behalf of the Hunan Students' Union published at the upsurge of the New-eul turalMovement. It's a major newspaper to promote revolution in Hunan Province. Its editor-in-chief is Mao Zedong, he is the sponsor of Xinmin Society which is the most important mass organizations in Hunan, and the organizer of Hunan's work-study program in France. When Xiangjiang comment published to No. 5, it was warlord by Zhang Jingyao, but the impact to the New Culture Movement in Hunan is enormous. This article will from the view of communication, journalism, history and culture to analyse Xiangjiang comment' speech , and do a comparative study with the press during the same period, and analyse its influence to Mao Zedong, in order to give Xiangjiang Comment an accurate evaluation and historical position, and look forward to enlightening Current and future Chinese media.This paper is divided into three parts:PartⅠ: Analysis of Xiangjiang comment's speech. This part includ analysis of the speech's style and content, and the most influential article-the people's large alliance of Xiangjiang comment, in order to get the characteristics of Xiangjiang comment's speech.PartⅡ: The comparisom between Xiangjiang comment and the other press during the same period. One of the objects is Weekly Comment which is a leader of New Culture Movement, and another one is Hunan's other students' newspaper during the same period, to found Xiangjiang Comment's defects and inadequacy.PartⅢ: The impact of Xiangjiang comment on Mao Zedong. Xiangjiang comment is the beginning of Mao Zedong's journalism, the impact on Mao Zedong not only in news practices and revolutionary practice, but also had laid a foundation for the formation of Mao Zedong journalistic thought.
