This paper is based on the project of National Scheme 863 Project "Research of Standardization for The Device of Detecting Pipelines" (Contract No. 2006AA092324). A set of equipment was designed to make the device of submarine ultrasonic detecting to be standard. In recent years, the mileage of laying for submarine pipeline is continuously increasing, the accidents because of corrosion and deformation frequently occur. Therefore, Sheng-Li Petroleum Administration Bureau had developed the device of submarine ultrasonic detecting which has independent intellectual property.Before it gets into the active pipeline to detect, this device must be standard. But now, we don't have this kind of standardization workstation to finish this task. So we designed the set of standardization equipment. The equipment can not only adjust the performance index of probes which will be installed on the device of submarine ultrasonic detecting, but also can establish relevant standards on this basis,using it as the basis for selecting probes.The set of equipment includes ultrasonic probe ring, test rig, hardware circuit and data acquisition system.We chose the appropriate performance index and arrangement mode of probes when we design the probe ring. By the premise of guarantee signal-to-noise ratio,we designed excitation circuit and echo signal amplifying circuit based on CPLD. We used the PCI-5105 data acquisition card to carry out the data acquisition system. We carried out data compress immediately after data acquisition.Firstly, this paper introduces the developments and applications of pipeline detection technique at home and abroad presently. Secondly this paper analyses the principle of choosing the parameter of ultrasonic probes. Then, the paper detailed introduces the elements and structure of hardware circuit and data acquisition system. Finally, a summary of the paper is made in the end. It summarizes the idea of the paper and points out the research direction for the next step.
