Research On Communication Effects Of The Radio Broadcasting In Public Crises

Research on crisis communication in the world began in the 80's last century. The research in our country started lately, but scholars pay more attention on the topic. The main reason is that some public crises happen in recent years, and they have significant impacts. The radio broadcasting, as an electronic media, plays an important role in China these years, especially in the south snow disaster and Wenchuan earthquake which happened in 2008.The thesis researches on the theories of crisis communication, and analyses communication effects of the radio broadcasting in the public crisis.There are four parts in the thesis. Part one analyses the theory of crisis communication. Public crises can damage the basic structure of social system, values, and benefits. Crisis communication is that the message is communicating among the government, the organization and the common people in and after the public crises.Part two is about the theory of the radio broadcasting. There are three contents in this part. First is some theories on media communication. The second one is the advantage of the radio broadcasting. And the last one is features of the radio broadcasting. This part will mainly discuss characteristics of the radio broadcasting.Part three analyzes the communication effects of the radio broadcasting in public crises. This part is the focus of the thesis. The radio broadcasting, as a public media, is one part of the social early-warning system. The radio broadcasting has played an important role in the public crises. The radio broadcasting is the first media when public crises happening. It can guide public opinions, help the social integration and communicating feelings.Part four is about how to optimize the communication effects of the radio broadcasting in public crises. For the situation of our radio broadcasting in public crises, the thesis will give three suggestion. One is the radio media should communicate orderly in time. The second is the radio media should reflect its humane care. The last one is the radio media should use its advantage of information integration widly.
