Medical appliance usually contains the most advanced high-tech. With the development of technologies, ECG monitor are silently going into digital era. However, the vital techniques of medical appliance are the embedded operating system.With the development of integrate circuit, the embedded technology obtains a quick boom and becomes more powerful. In some cases, it can take place of industrial computer and 51MCU. In addition, it has many attractive characters such as its small volume, low power consumption, all of which make it suitable to be used in digital medical appliances, take full advantage of portable and embedded monitor.Portable medical appliance has been meet challenge from function all-round, ensuring data quality and real-time. The challenge is origined from appliance volume and inner electronic components. Portable embedded monitor has five basic parts: biology sensor interface or signal modulate circuit, battery and power manage, input and output interface, system micro-controller or digital signal processor, signal inspect arithmetic.This dissertation makes a groping research on building of embedded computer systemont the platform. According to the acquirement of ECG monitor function and development, embedded ECG monitoring platform is constructed. From five basic parts of embedded medical monitor, we design hardware. research WindowsCE operation system customized and ported in S3C2440, combine with analog signal collection and signal detect arithmetic. Finally, data process, display, memory of the ECG monitoring system is realized.This dissertation introduces portable ECG monitor base on S3C2400 and WindowsCE. The main contributes of the research are shown as below:(1) A hardware system design of ECG monitor is put forward. After designing and improving S3C2440, the design scheme which is suitable for the ECG monitoring system is introduced successfully.(2) The starting procedure of WindowsCE system is analyzed. The bootloader is ported based on S3C2440A, and some new commands for bootloader is added. Through the innovation of bootloader, the ECG monitor can flexibly start up with several work modes.(3) Many ECG monitor drivers are modified. The LCD display driver, Touch diver, USB driver and Kernl configure file are ported, and the ECG monitoring system are customized successfully based on WindowsCE5.0.
