With the rapid development of the digital information technology and network technology, embedded systems have been widely infiltrated into science, engineering, military technology and people's daily lives.With the further development and promotion of embedded products at home and abroad,embedded technology and people's live are more and more close.As embedded systems gave us to enjoy the convenience of life, so they have got more and more attention. MIT's David Clark first proposed the "post-PC era", is that personal computers are only available during the transition solution and not the best way,ultimately, applications will no longer remain on the table of personal computers,but spreading down from the desktop into the user's daily life. In other words, the future trends of embedded system applications will be the integration between hardware and software systems, SOC design, application and content services.This article is based on a will be development project,the target is a portable data devices,it can be packaged into a typical embedded data acquisition instrumentation if adding a data acquisition card,including data collection, storage, display basic modules, plus USB transfer, serial and network transmission.The important is that the volume will be very small and power consumption is not great.In order to provide a convenient environment for Embedded application development.embedded software platforms use the open-source Linux operating system for the establishment of software development platform. Including the Bootloader, cross-compiler tools, file systems, networks and display devices drivers transplantation. in the course of the development of signal acquisition, the device drivers and applications of data acquisition circuit are prepared.In order to meet the needs of the project, have to design the embedded systems underlying hardware platform. The platform uses a structured, modular program to system design and debug the hardware design; in order to ensure there is enough space, the system uses 64MB of NAND Flash,64MB of SDRAM; to ensure the stable operation of the circuit,we design two step-down circuit; peripheral interface and the network interface using a serial way, it becomes an easy minimum system board. And in order to ensur the mass storage and system quick start, the system also extends a motherboard, includes Nor Flash, USB interface circuit, SD interface circuit;even less than the current audio interface and video interface, bring out the convenience secondary development needs.This article focuses on analysis and test the entire hardware design process, including schematic design, PCB layout and alignment, making board, soldering and debugging. Production and testing of hardware is the point of this article, this article try to debug hardware in different ways to achieve the intended results, verify the feasibility of hardware, and a right time to discover the problem.S3C2440 for embedded microprocessor-based data collection platform, small size, low power consumption and powerful advantages, but also because of lower chip prices, costs can be controlled in a relatively small area, so has the good prospects of industrial measurement.
