Therefore, the research on the design of mobile zoom lens make a great sense for our contry.The article anylysis the development and present status of the design and procuction of zoom optical system firstly, and forcast the trend of it. Then study the principle of zoom deeply,and introduce the pw method with which could count an initial configuration,base on which ,programmes were workouted,and an example was established. More important,a auto optical design method was introduceded and a triple mobile zoom lens was designed through the method. The image quality is good on different focus position,and an appropriate cam curve was desigrled.Above all, the article proposed an integrate method of designing a zoom lens ,which makes practicle sense.
