This paper proposed a multi-dimensional analysis of the hospital information system design based on OLAP and data mining technology, which realized OLAP multi-dimensional data analysis and MDX multi-dimensional data query on the basis of SSAS in the hospital data warehouse, and achieved medical data mining using association rules, decision trees algorithms and improved algorithms for breast-cancers to get useful knowledge.This paper determined a number of themes in accordance with the specific demands of Puyang City People's Hospital of HIS data sources and data warehouse using dimension modeling approach, detailed discussed the concept models design and logic models design, including the dimensions and size design, the fact table and table-dimensional design. It took patient-in-hospital as an example using star models to construct logical views of subjects and generate multi-dimensional hospital cubes.Experimental results showed it not only provided intelligent analysis of the ways and means from the perspective of business management for hospital administrators, but also provided new means and methods from the perspective of medical research for the hospital researchers. The application of OLAP and data mining technology in the hospital information system had some references.
