MCU has powerful intelligent control ability because of its various kinds of peripherals and interface circuits, so it is very important to verification and test. In traditional validation methodology, not only connecting evaluation board to PC, connecting debugging tools, downloading testcases into on-chip flash or sram, but also executing, debugging testcases, connecting external pins and testing instruments are all need to be operated namually by engineers. On the purpose of reducing human intervention and achieving automatic test as possible, this paper presents an automatic functional testing system for MCU modules. This thesis discusses from the working mechanism of automatic functional testing system, and further researches the solution according to realization flow. Afterward, discusses the functions of automatic control environment JAZZ in system which plays roles in controlling test flow and test instrument, and FPGA development which plays a role in automatic connecting pins, as well as handshake mechanism between MCU and FPGA. Finally realizes the automatic module's functionality test system. it is proved that automatic functional test for MCU modules is successful realized. It is proved that automatic functional test for MCU modules is successful realized. Compared with traditional testing method of MCU modules, automatic module functional testing system reduces human intervention and testing time, and shortens the time of products approaching market. , so brings more benefit to company.
