Investigation On Living State Of Journalists In Lanzhou City

As the cornerstone of National news media system, journalists make everlasting contributions to the development of journalism. However, the development of journalism means that the media market competition, the news media and journalists is bound to suffer even greater pressure to accept new tests and challenges. In this paper, the empirical research methods are adopted to conduct an in-depth investigation on the living state of journalists in a western city Lanzhou. The Investigation covers the journalists' basic state, occupation characteristics, occupation loyalty, career satisfaction, News specialization, living conditions and health state etc. The study suggests that the lack of professional employees is the major cause for constraining the development of the journalism in Lanzhou. Despite professionalism has to take root, but journalists still lack a good quality of professionalism of the news.
